As of Term 1 this year Rose Bay Public School has been fortunate enough, with the ongoing support of our P&C committee, to embark upon a journey of interactive teaching and learning. . With the installation of interactive whiteboards across multiple K-2 classes combined with the installation of video projector systems in every single primary classroom, our classes are now moving towards the cutting edge of 21st century teaching and learning practices. . The successful implementation of these new technologies and the in-servicing and training of staff in their use is already paying dividends in terms of student engagement and academic success. . One teacher recently commented to me that within two weeks of these new technologies being brought into the classroom, the students in her class were navigating the OS as well as a range of applications and even making suggestions about how they could use these technologies to assist in the research of class topics in the future! .
